Step-by-step guide

Manually mount a directory on an iPhone, iPad or iPod to your Mac or PC

Introduction

Manual mounting is ideal when you only need temporary access to a specific iPhone or iPad folder.

iExplorer can expose that folder in Finder or Windows Explorer like an external drive.

What you will need

  • iExplorer
  • An iPhone, iPad, or iPod
  • USB cable to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod
  • A Mac or PC with iTunes or the Apple Music app installed

Before you begin

If you don't already have iExplorer installed, download it below. For full install instructions, click here.
