In-Depth Tutorial

Open iExplorer on your Mac or PC and connect your device with a USB cable.

If iTunes prompts you to sync, click No or Cancel. We recommend avoiding sync until your transfer is complete, since syncing can overwrite or remove content in some cases.

After connecting, iExplorer opens on the Device Overview screen. You can return here any time by clicking your device name in the left navigation.

To begin, click Music in the middle panel. You can also access the same area from Media Library in the left sidebar.

In Media Library, browse songs, playlists, and other media from the left panel, then select what you want to transfer.

To select multiple tracks, hold CommandControl while clicking.

At the bottom of Media Library, click Transfer from DeviceTransfer.

  • To export playlists to a folder, choose Export Selected Playlist to Folder.
  • To export selected tracks to a folder, choose Export Selected Item(s) to Folder.

Choose your destination folder, and iExplorer starts the transfer.
